Rebecca discovered yoga whilst working in a stressful and unfulfilling job as a lawyer. Fascinated by how great it made her feel on a physical, mental, and spiritual level, she now wishes to share its various benefits through teaching.
Rebecca has 1700+ hours of teacher training. Her 200 hour foundational training was with Power Living and she then undertook a further 400 hours at Body Mind Life, including an advanced sequencing course with Noelle Connolly. She has an 800 hour Certificate IV with Byron Yoga Centre, and has most recently completed a 300 hour training with Yoga Beyond and Bryce Yoga.
For Rebecca, yoga is a way to break through boundaries, both physically and mentally.
“The obstacles we face on our mats at a micro level often reflect our lives at the macro level.”
She believes strongly that as we age, our bodies and minds do not have to deteriorate so rapidly, and a consistent yoga practice allows us to keep our ‘yoga glow’ through all stages of life!
Rebecca likes a strong flow, and her classes are all about playfully testing limits. She uses her gymnastics background as a tool to gently encourage students to explore outside of their comfort zone. There is nothing quite like a well earned savasana!
